I fish for predators primarily with artificial lures but I also use live or dead baits for Pike, so you will find information covering those methods. I plan to fish a lot more for other predators and not just Pike, especially Perch and Chub so you will start to see more lighter tackle and mentions of these species. I thought it apt to now title the website "a predator angling website" which will represent it better as things progress to not only cover Pike.
I practice catch and release fishing, like most UK anglers do, and firmly believe this helps preserve fish breeding stocks. I am not against someone taking of the odd fish for the table, although I do not do this myself, but if every angler regularly "took" every fish he caught then there would be a detrimental effect to the species and to the continued sport.
